Who are we really lying to?

There are two types of humans
- One who thinks that everything happens for a reason, everything that happens, happens because of one ultimate "divine will", we call that "divine will" by multiple names. But this comes to a question, If Everything Is pre-destined then are we really experiencing free? will or are just playing pawns in a divine game of chess?
- And than there comes the second category. The scientific minds. They believe that every course of action is there own free-will and no ultimate divine will pulling the strings. Though this may sound more logical to those who are scientific minded, but as the saying goes, every coin has another side, and the other side of this coin is much more rough
Is "free-will" actually free?
suppose you went to Burger King, and ordered your favourite double patties extra vegies Burger with a bottle of 250ml coke.
One would observe and say, "Oh they seem to practice the liberty of their free-will", but if we think closely we won't see any free-will here, you may ask me why?
but before that let me ask you some questions. Why did you ordered that burger? because it was your favourite, but why is it your favourite? because you liked it's taste? but that's just your brains biological chemicals forcing you to favour that specific combination of salt, sugar and fat over others.
Let's say you were raised in a England. You will naturally speak English fluently and would prefer it over Russian. But did you chose to be born where you were born? No. Did you chose to learn English? No. You didn't chose anything to prefer English, but you still favour something that wasn't yours all along. Why?
Because we humans are evolved this way that our brain loves to fit-in. Our brain loves to try and connect random dots together
- We play with toys when we are 2 or 3 years old, because our brain is chasing that dopamine those vibrant colours in the toys induce, it's biology not our choice.
- We start schooling when are 3 or 4, because our parents wants us to get educated, we had no say in it.
- We chase marks and knowledge in schools, because our parents, teachers, classmates and society values them, It's the fear of being left behind.
- In college we chase degrees because it will get you a good job, that will help your family, the need of that money is the force orchestrating your will for that degree.
So where is the actual freedom when behind every "want" there's a need or a fear or biology?
You want that burger because you like that burger. But you didn't chose to like it out of blue, you ate it first, the taste sat perfect on your taste buds inducing pleasure hormones.
You don't choose your taste buds. You don't choose when the brain releases those pleasure hormones.
You chose on the basis of what you want, But you don't chose what you want to want, You prefer your mother-language, but you didn't chose to prefer it, your experiences did, and you didn't chose to experience those experiences either.
You will fall asleep watching a show that is not of your preference, because it releases no rewarding-chemicals, there's no need to watch it, there's no fear of anything even if you missed that show.
But you will watch that same show for hours on repeat without a hint of boredom if someone puts your mom on gun-point and asks you to watch that show.
- You bought eggs to complete your protein intake
- You want to complete the intake because you want to stay healthy
- You want to stay healthy, so you can avoid diseases
- You avoid diseases because they can be life threatening
- And we fear that
The truth is, we are just biological puppets running on fear, need and hormones.
So, who are we lying to?
